Description de la chambre à louer

Chambres dans colocation avec bel espace de vie et extérieur.

Our house was built in 1913 from the plans of the architect Wiegerink with a  massive blue stone façade, high ceilings and larges terrasses. We have kept the lovely original atmosphere of the house and have added the best of modern comforts.

We are located in "Helmet" which is just like a village in the city: lively by day and quiet at night. You will find all you need right in the neighbourhood: restaurants, supermarkets, dry cleaners, banks, chocolate shops, chemists, public transport, taxis, etc.

Access

Most people around Brussels will speak english and be very happy to help you out, but never hesitate to call us for support. We know the city well and will be able to sort you out.

Plane: the international airport of Brussels is 15 minutes away. Train or taxi connection to the center of Brussels.

*Attention, we have two airports with a similar name:

- "Brussels-Zaventem" (10km away) Info

- "Brussels South Charleroi" (60km away) mostly RyanAir flights. Details such as shuttle service, etc

Train: There are three major stations in Brussels: South, Central, North. Fromahtese three stations you can pick-up a train towards the Schaerbeek Station which is about 300 meters away from our B&B . If you already have a train ticket to Brussels, this would usually cover up for the trip towards any other station in Brussels.

Once in Schaerbeek station, right in front of the station, take the largest avenue with trees going up the slope (Avenue Huart Hamoir)On top of the 'hill' is a church, walk up untill you come at the door of the church. There take right (90° angle, well almost 110°) and stay on that board walk for 200m untill you reach our home. Our street starts at the round about.

*Attention, we have two names for the same station:

Midi Station (or "Gare du Midi") = Brussels-South (or "Zuid Station")

*Good to know: trains have first and second class, make sure you're sitting in the right one. If you are not sure about the validity of your ticket, walk towards the controller as soon as he enters the wagon and explain the problem, this will usually avoid further trouble/fines.

Car: A valid GPS will sort you out of course, else aim towards "Schaerbeek" (the commune) and more precisely towards "Helmet" (the nearby church). The ring road will bring you to one of the following exits: coming from East choose exit "Meiser", else choose exit "Laeken".

Tram: Tram lines 55, 33 and 7 are just minutes away. Line 55 & 33 will drive you directly downtown in 22 minutes (33 only after 20h00), line 7 will bring you to the Heysel (Brussels Exhibition Centre, Kinepolis Cinema, MiniEurope, Atomium) or to the European Institutions (15 min).
